Showcase Knockout Tournament
The Grizzlies played another weekend of baseball and found themselves tied for 3rd place. There were some great plays and some oops plays that determined their outcome of 3rd. Playing the Dragons again we saw some improvement in the Grizzlies from two weeks ago. We hung in there and gave a valiant effort just to fall short and not make to the championship game. No need to hang our heads because we turn around and play this weekend. Keep working hard Grizzlies and let's get them this weekend.

Triple Crown Harvest Classic
Another great weekend for the Grizzlies. 2nd place. With the weather cooling off and being able to finally play in our backyard @ Rio Vista, the Grizzlies had another successful weekend at the Harvest Classic. They harvest medals for each of the players and a Plaque for their wall of fame at the coach's house. Some hard fought games once again to get to the Championship game only to fall to the Dragons who played very well all weekend. Thanks again parents for the support and hope your voices recover from all the yelling. Congrats again Grizzlies for a job well done as a team. Look forward to our tournament in two weeks.

USSSA Fall State Championship Tournament
WE DID IT ! ! ! Champions of the state championship tournament. The team went 4-0. Great weekend for the Grizzlies, their parents and supporters. Some really hard fought games, where we saw the Grizzlies come from behind 3 out of the 4 games. Superb effort from each player with awesome pitching, stellar defense and timely hitting propelled this team to their first championship. This qualifies the team for Winter Nationals in Dec. during the holiday break. Thanks again for the support of our parents and congrats again Grizzlies on your victory. Keep up the hard work.

Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament
It was a fun weekend to watch the mom's coach and run the team. Some pretty impressive signs given this weekend by the 3rd base coaches. I know that they are better looking than the regular coaches. Thanks again Amy, Jody, Joann, Shannen and anybody else who stepped in and helped with the team. We played some really good ball this weekend at times but also let our guard down and therefore our outcome was not as good as it could of been. This was a last minute tournament to which we want to thank the parents for pitching in and letting the kids play for a great cause. Once again it was a learning experience.

AAU Pennant Race Tournament
It was another good weekend for the Grizzlies even though their record didn't show it. Still coming together as team, strides were made and some great plays throughout the tournament made it for some exciting games this weekend. By far the toughest group of teams we have faced in a tournament. With a 1-3 record we still placed 3rd in this tournament. We were one play from being in the Championship game. Good job Grizzlies.

We would like to take time to recognize Larry Buchda for all of his hard work and time in providing uniforms and equipment for both the 13's & 12's team. Many hours of his personal time have been devoted to getting us fantastic looking uniforms and gear(bags, towels, helmets). We are going to look awesome out on the field and we owe it to Larry. Many Thanks
